Tiny House
For the Veteran Village concept plan I wanted to incorporate an amenity center and a sports complex to allow the residents to enjoy themselves and connect as a community. I also added a boardwalk near the San Sebastian River and lots of greenery throughout the site. Thirty of the tiny houses are around the amenity center and twenty of the tiny houses are around the sports complex. I placed a big sidewalk to connect the two so the residents (veterans) don't feel isolated, "Contact is curative." The As for the tiny house design I wanted to maximize the space within it so I placed the washer and dryer within the amenity center. I also added a good size kitchen with lots of counter space and cabinets for storage. The living area is to the left of the kitchen and the bedroom and bathroom is toward the back of the tiny house. There is a full bathroom and a closet right across from it. |
Jax Plaza
The Jax Plaza was designed to incorporate a friendly environment that would bring in economic success and be fit for Florida weather. To ensure protection against storm surge, my partner and I thought of the idea to incorporate a 16 foot dryline. With the recent hurricanes hitting Downtown Jacksonville, the addition of the 16 foot storm surge would prevent flooding from happening in our area. With the failure of The Jacksonville Landing we made it a priority to incorporate multi-use within the newly designed Jax Plaza. Within the Jax Plaza are retail, residential, and restaurants for everyone to enjoy and obtain a sense of welcome. On the fifth floor are penthouses for the more wealthy people who will have an amazing view of the St. Johns River and a balcony to enjoy the Florida weather. The Jax Plaza will will create an atmosphere like no other and will consistently draw people in to see the newly created sensation of Downtown Jacksonville.

Dream HouseSophmore year, I was given the task to create a dream house on AutoCAD in ninety minutes. We were to create the elevation and a single floor plan to go along with it. This was my dream house I created. The elevation spans about 300 feet wide and about 75 feet tall. It was designed to be very open and have lots of natural light pouring in. It is a two story house with very high ceilings. It was designed to be on a water-front property as well, with lots of big tall oak trees. The second story would've had three more bedrooms along with three bathrooms and a powder room. It also would've had a loft.

Post It War
Junior year my partner and I created a sticky note design. We chose a window based on our preference and used the dimensions to create a recognizable image. We decided to create a star wars design and went with a Yoda and R2-D2 design. We used an app to plan it out and eventually transferred it to the window. Overall it was a success and enjoyable project. We created a noticeable image that people can appreciate. |
